The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, presented by Bishop Camillus Archibong Etokudoh.

The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Francisco de Assis Gabriel dos Santos, C.Ss.R., as bishop of Cajazeiras, Brazil, transferring him from the diocese of Campo Maior.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Francisco de Assis Gabriel dos Santos, C.Ss.R., was born on 5 February 1968 in Esperança, in the diocese of Campina Grande, in the State of Paraíba. He studied philosophy at the ITEP - Instituto Teológico e Pastoral do Ceará, and theology at the ITESP - Instituto São Paulo de Estudos Superiores.
He gave his perpetual vows in 1999 and was ordained a priest on. 22 July 2000.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar of Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro (2000-2002), member of the Presbyteral Council of the diocese of Garanhuns and coordinator of the Centre Pastoral Zone (2001-2002), rector of the Redemptorist Postulantate Beato Gaspare Stanggassinger (2003-2008), parish vicar of Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro (2004-2008) and Nossa Senhora do Rosário (2004-2010), rector of the Padre Pitiá House of Formation in Recife, and parish priest of Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro in Garanhuns (2011-2017).
On 21 June 2017 he was appointed bishop of Campo Maior, in the State of Piauí, receiving episcopal ordination the following 26 August. He is currently vice-presidente of the Regional Nordeste 4 of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil.

The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Luis Manuel López Alfaro, until now titular bishop of Garba and auxiliary of San Cristóbal de Las Casas.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Luis Manuel López Alfaro was born in Mexico City on 21 June 1963. After graduating as an agronomist engineer, he studied in the Major Seminary of Toluca, receiving priestly ordination on 15 August 1991.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar, formator and spiritual director in the Minor Seminary of Toluca, parish priest, dean and member of the Presbyteral Council.
In 2004 he transferred to the diocese of San Cristóbal de Las Casas, where he held the offices of parish priest, vicar general, pastoral vicar, spiritual director of the diocesan seminary and member of the Presbyteral Council and the College of Consultors.
On 6 June 2020 he was appointed titular bishop of Garba and auxiliary of San Cristóbal de Las Casas, receiving episcopal ordination on 28 August 2020.

The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Evandro Luis Braun, of the clergy of the diocese of Ponta Grossa, until now parish priest of Santa Rita de Cássia, as bishop of the diocese of Campo Mourão, Brazil.

Msgr. Evandro Luis Braun was born on 3 August 1976 in Teixeira Soares, dicoese of Ponta Grossa, in the State of Paraná. He carried out his studies at the Instituto de Filosofia e Teologia “Mater Ecclesiae” in Ponta Grossa-PR.
He was ordained a priest on 15 September 2002, and incardinated in the diocese of Ponta Grossa.
He has held the following offices: lecturer (2001-2009) and coordinator (2010-2019) of the School of Theology for the Laity, rector (2003-2010), teacher (2002-2015) and spiritual director (2010-2015) of the Preparatory Seminary, parish vicar of Imaculada Conceição in Carambeí-PR (2003-2010), parish priest of Senhor Menino Deus and rector of the Santuário de Nossa Senhora das Brotas in Piraí do Sul-PR (2010-2020), coordinatore of presbyteral pastoral care (2012-2014), secretary of the Organização dos Seminários e Institutos Filosófico-Teológicos do Brasil - OSIB (2007-2011) and supervisor of pastoral care of tourism of the Regional Sul 2 (2014-2019); member of the College of Consultors (since 2014) and diocesan exorcist (since 2017).
Since 2020 he has served as parish priest of Santa Rita de Cássia in Ponta Grossa-PR.
