On Tuesday 1 July 2025, at 11.00, a press conference will be held at the Holy See Press Office, Via della Conciliazione 54, to present the document “Un llamado por la justicia climática y la casa común: conversión ecológica, transformación y resistencia a las falsas soluciones”, by the Symposium of Episcopal Conferences of Africa and Madagascar (SECAM), the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences (FABC) and the Latin American Episcopal Conference (CELAM), coordinated by the Pontifical Commission for Latin America (PCAL).
The speakers will be:
- His Eminence Cardinal Jaime Spengler, O.F.M., archbishop of Porto Alegre, Brazil, president of CELAM and president of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (NCBB);
- His Eminence Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, archbishop of Goa and Damão, India, president of the FABC;
- His Eminence Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo Besungu, O.F.M. Cap., archbishop of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, president of SECAM;
- Dr. Emilce Cuda, secretary of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America.

On Wednesday 2 July 2025, at 10.00, a press conference will be held at the Holy See Press Office, Via della Conciliazione 54, to present the Manifesto of Young Christians of Europe.
The Manifesto is the result of a wide-ranging process of youth participation at international level in the project “Rome 25 – St. James 27 – Jerusalem 33”. The initiative originated from the Spanish Episcopal Conference, with the support of numerous episcopal conferences, dioceses, parishes and ecclesial movements throughout Europe. The project forms part of the pastoral and evangelizing process promoted by the Dicastery for Evangelization in preparation for the Jubilee.
The official proclamation of the Manifesto is scheduled to take place on Friday 1 August 2025, at the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, as part of the Jubilee of Youth.
The speakers will be:
- His Eminence Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem (via remote link);
- Archbishop Rino Fisichella, pro-prefect of the Section for Fundamental Questions regarding Evangelization in the World, of the Dicastery for Evangelization;
- Bishop Mikel Garciandia of Palencia, representing the Spanish Episcopal Conference and the project Coordinating Committee;
- Archbishop Paolo Giulietti of Lucca, representing the Italian Episcopal Conference;
- Archbishop Francisco José Prieto Fernández of Santiago de Compostela (via remote link);
- Msgr. Marco Gnavi, parish priest of Santa Maria in Trastevere and host of the event on 1 August;
- Reverend Fr. Antonio Ammirati, secretary genreal of the Council of Bishops’ Conferences of Europe;
- Fernando Moscardó Vegas, young representative and spokesperson of the International Committee of the project Rome 25 – St. James 27 – Jerusalem 33 | J2R2033.
