Appointment of coadjutor bishop of La Rochelle, France
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Pierre-Antoine Bozo of Limoges as coadjutor bishop of the diocese of La Rochelle, France.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Pierre-Antoine Bozo was born on 14 March 1966. After obtaining a licentiate in law from the Université de Caen-Normandie, he continued his formation at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, where he was awarded a licentiate in dogmatic theology.
He was ordained a priest on 3 July 1994 for the diocese of Séez.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar, chaplain of public instruction and chaplain of students, diocesan chargé for vocations and youth pastoral care, professor at the Caen Centre of Theological Studies, vice rector of the Saint-Jean Eudes Interdiocesan Seminary of Caen, episcopal vicar of the diocese of Séez, moderator of the Curia, parish priest, and dean.
He was appointed bishop of Limoges on 11 May 2017, and received episcopal consecration the following 3 September.
Within the Episcopal Conference of France, he is a member of the Dialogue, Bien Commun et amitié sociale Commission.
