The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Andrzej Przybylski as metropolitan archbishop of Katowice, Poland, transferring him from the titular see of Orte and the office of auxiliary of Częstochowa.
Curriculum vitae
Bishop Andrzej Przybylski was born on 26 November 1964 in Łowicz, in the diocese of the same name. After his university studies in pedagogy, he was admitted to the major seminary of Częstochowa, and on 30 May 1993, was ordained a priest for the same archdiocese.
After ordination, he held the roles of parish vicar of Saint Francis in Częstochowa (1993-1994), special secretary to the archbishop (1994-1998), director of the Youth Pastoral Department (1997-2004), diocesan head of student pastoral care (1998-2008), and parish priest. He was awarded a doctorate in human sciences with specialization in pedagogy from the Uniwersytet Mikołaja Kopernika in Toruń (2006), and went on to serve as rector of the major seminary (2008-2015), parish priest of Saints Peter and Paul in Zawiercie, vicar forane, and member of the Presbyteral Council and the College of Consultors.
He was appointed titular bishop of Orte and auxiliary of Częstochowa on 20 May 2017, receiving episcopal consecration the following 24 June.

The Holy Father has appointed Msgr. Andres C. Ligot, of the clergy of San Jose in California, vicar general and parish priest of Saint Elizabeth of Portugal in Milpitas, as auxiliary bishop of the same see, assigning him the titular see of Croe.
Curriculum vitae
Msgr. Andres C. Ligot was born on 30 November 1965 in Laoag City, Philippines, in the diocese of the same name. He attended San Pablo College Seminary in Baguio City, and then the Seminario Internacional Bidasoa in Navarre, Spain, obtaining a master’s degree in theology. He was subsequently awarded a doctorate in canon law from the Universidad de Navarra.
He was ordained a priest on 14 June 1992 for the diocese of Laoag, and in 2004 he was incardinated in the diocese of San Jose in California.
He has held the following offices: parish vicar of Saint John Vianney (2003-2005), parish priest of Saint Lawrence the Martyr (2005-2009), judicial vicar (2008-2021), parish priest of Saint Elizabeth of Portugal (since 2021), and vicar general and chancellor (since 2023).
