This morning, the Holy Father Leo XIV received in Audience, in the Vatican Apostolic Palace, His Excellency Mr. Karol Tadeusz Nawrocki, President of the Republic of Poland, who subsequently met with His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of His Holiness, accompanied by His Excellency Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations.

During the cordial talks, held at the Secretariat of State, the socio-political situation of the country was discussed, with particular reference to the values on which Polish society is founded and the need to build consensus in the light of the challenges it has to address.

The conversation then turned to matters of an international nature, with special attention to the conflict in Ukraine and European security.
