This morning, 3 October, the Holy Father Leo XIV received in audience, in the Vatican Apostolic Palace, the President of the Swiss Confederation, Her Excellency Ms. Karin Keller-Sutter, who subsequently met with His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State, accompanied by His Excellency Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations.

During the cordial talks held at the Secretariat of State, in addition to recalling the generous and professional commitment of the Pontifical Swiss Guard, satisfaction was expressed for the good and fruitful bilateral relations.

Attention then turned to international issues and areas of common interest, with particular reference to the prospects for peace for the end of the wars in Ukraine and Gaza.
