In the context of the traditional exchange of Delegations for the respective feasts of the Patron Saints, on 29 June in Rome for the celebration of the Saints Apostles Peter and Paul, and on 30 November in Istanbul for the celebration of Saint Andrew, a Delegation of the Ecumenical Patriarchate will visit Rome from 27 to 29 June 2025.

The Delegation will be led by the Metropolitan of Chalcedon, Emmanuel, President of the synodal Commission of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for relations with the Catholic Church, who will be accompanied by the Most Reverend Fathers Aetios and Hieronymus.

On Saturday 28 June, the Delegation will be received in audience by His Holiness Leo XIV, and will have the customary talks with the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity; on Sunday 29 June, it will attend the solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Holy Father.
