On 6 February, inauguration of the Academic Year of the Rome Campus of the Catholic University

The speaker will be Don Dante Carraro, Director of the Doctors with Africa CUAMM Organization.

Cardinal Baldassare Reina, vicar of His Holiness for the diocese of Rome, will preside over the Holy Mass.

 

Rome, 27 January 2025 – On Thursday 6 February 2025, the ceremony for the inauguration of the Academic Year 2024-2025 of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart at the Rome campus (Auditorium, Largo F. Vito, 1).

Don Dante Carraro, director of the Doctors with Africa CUAMM Organization, will speak at the event.

At 10.30, in the Auditorium, the Rector of the Catholic University, Professor Elena Beccalli, will deliver the inaugural address.

This will be followed by speeches from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Professor Antonio Gasbarrini, and the introductions by Don Dante Carraro and Professor Carlo Torti, Professor of Infectious Diseases at the Catholic University.

At the end, Dr. Francesca Schiavello, a young specialist in Internal Medicine at the Catholic University, will give her testimony.

Before the inaugural ceremony, at 9.00, at the central Church, there will be a Eucharistic Celebration presided over by His Eminence Cardinal Baldassare Reina, vicar of His Holiness for the diocese of Rome, which will be preceded by the opening rite of the Jubilee in the Rome campus.

Accredited journalists and cameramen will have a dedicated area inside the Auditorium, to which they can gain access by collecting their Pass from 9.30 on Thursday 6 February at the special desk at the entrance to the Auditorium (L.go F. Vito, 1).To facilitate entry to the Auditorium, accredited journalists can use a car park (P15) adjacent to the structure by collecting their ticket at the Press desk when collecting their Pass.
