PRESS INVITATION
Following on from the meetings in Bari (2020), Florence (2022), Marseille (2023) and Tirana (2024), the 2025 Mediterranean Meetings will begin in March, with the odyssey
MED25 – BEL ESPOIR
Between 1 March and the end of October 2025, almost 200 young people aged between 20 and 35, of all nationalities, cultures and religions, divided into eight groups, will take turns on board a three-masted schooner, the Bel Espoir. Responding to Pope Francis' call to build peace in the Mediterranean, they will travel to the five shores of the Mediterranean, attending peace training sessions, organising conferences and festivals at each port of call, and living an experience of encounter and fraternity.
Cardinal Jean-Marc Aveline, archbishop of Marseille, will give a press conference alongside Cardinal Juan José Omella, archbishop of Barcelona, Msgr. Giuseppe Satriano, archbishop of Bari – Bitonto, and Father Alexis Leproux, episcopal vicar of Marseille for Mediterranean relations.
Thursday 20 February at 13.30
Please let us know if you will be attending by registering here.
