Dicastery for the Institutes of Consecrated Life and the Societies of Apostolic Life

At the conclusion of an investigation ordered by the Holy Father Francis on 5 July 2023, in order to ascertain the validity of accusations concerning various responsibilities attributed to Mr. Luis Fernando Figari and numerous other members of the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae, it has been decided to suppress both the Societies of Apostolic Life of the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae and the Fraternidad Mariana de la Reconciliación, as well as the Associations of the Faithful of the Siervas del Pian de Dios and the Movimiento de Vida Cristiana.

The respective decrees of suppression, issued by the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life and specifically confirmed by the Holy Father, have recently been notified.

At the same time, Mgr. Jordi Bertomeu-Farnós was appointed Apostolic Commissioner so that he may arrange for the acts, procedures and any kind of initiative, useful and in any case functional to implement the provisions connected with the suppression measures, as well as to deal with all the consequences deriving from the same decision.
