Peter’s Pence Collection: a gesture to support the Pope in his mission

On 29 June – which this year coincides with the last Sunday of June – on the occasion of the liturgical feast of Saints Peter and Paul, there will be the customary collection of Peter’s Pence, a concrete way to support the Holy Father in his mission in the service of the universal Church.

Peter’s Pence represents a gesture of communion and participation in the Pope’s mission to proclaim the Gospel, to promote peace, and to spread Christian charity.

In support of this initiative, the Holy See Secretariat for the Economy and the Dicastery for Communication have made informative and multimedia materials available to explain its significance.

As every year, any offering – large or small – will support the Holy Father in his ministry and in his charitable initiatives in response to situations of emergency and need throughout the world.
