THE WASHING OF THE FEET OF 12 ROMAN PRIESTS

Don Andrea Alessi, Don Gabriele Di Menno Di Bucchianico, Don Renzo Chiesa, Don Francesco Melone, Don Clody Merfalen, Don Federico Pelosio, Don Marco Petrolo, Don Pietro Hieu Nguyen Huai, Don Matteo Renzi, Don Giuseppe Terranova, Don Simone Troilo, and Don Enrico Maria Trusiani are the twelve priests whose feet Pope Leo XIV will wash tomorrow, Holy Thursday, during the Mass in Coena Domini, which will begin at 17.30 in the Basilica of Saint John Lateran.

Eleven of the priests were ordained by Pope Leo XIV last year, whereas Don Renzo Chiesa is the spiritual director of the Pontifical Roman Major Seminary.

At the end of the liturgy, the Pope will take the Blessed Sacrament to the place of repose, near the Chapel of Saint Francis.
